Helsingør Excursions
Gurre Castle Ruins, Gurre
The ruins of a royal castle that was built in the 12th century. The castle was extended in the 14th century by King Valdemar Atterdag who died here. The remains of St. Jakob´s Chapel are nearby.

Tegner´s Museum and Statue Park
Sculptor Rudolph Tegner (1873-1950) had his own museum built with enormous sculptures in the scenic "Rusland", west of Hornbæk by Dronningmølle. The museum and sculpture park contain more than 200 objects made of plaster, clay, bronze and marble.



Esrum Monastery
The monastery was founded in 1151 and became the biggest Cistercian monastery in northern Europe. Today, only the wing of the eastern part remains. There is also a historic herb garden. In the restaurant Broder Rus´Kælder, you can try Esrum´s monastery beer. Denmark´s second largest lake Esrum is nearby and there is a beautiful nature area around the lake with excellent opportunities for activities.

Hornbæk
Hornbæk is one of Denmark´s most popular holiday resorts. The long, child-friendly, white, sandy beach attracts many visitors. Behind the sand dunes is the community of Hornbæk with old thatched fishing cottages along narrow lanes and a flourishing shopping street with many shops, cafés and friendly restaurants. Hornbæk offers lots of activities such as an 18-hole golf course, surfing, minigolf, cycle tours and fishing.
