Helsingborg City Theatre Helsingborg City Theatre is fun and inspiring, and it has enjoyed much success. The theatre has several stages, which are equipped with technology of world class. Storan, with space for 600 persons, has been used for comedies, classics and musicals. Lillan, with space for 150 persons, has been used for smaller, but always very exciting, performances. There is also a Foajéscen, which is used for, among other things, lyric programmes. The Concert Hall The Concert Hall was designed by the architect Sven Markelius. The building is one of the finest examples of Swedish functionalism in architecture and has been declared a historic building. It was opened in 1932, and the hall has been praised for its fine acoustics. The Concert Hall is available to hire for arrangements and conferences. It is also home to the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra (HSO). Fredriksdal Theatre In the summer, happy laughter can be heard from the close-growing hedges, sculpted in French Baroque style. Behind them is the Fredriksdal Theatre stage that was made famous by Nils Poppe. Nowadays, Eva Rydberg is the theatre manager attracting people from around Sweden to magical evenings in the spirit of comedy.
